Cordero rocks! Yeah, you heard me. They truly rock. I had the chance to see this cool up and coming latin rock band open for the Indigo Girls in Houston, Texas. Cordero is out touring in support of their new release, SOMOS CORDERO, on Daemon Records. Daemon is one of the more well known indie labels and happens to be the brainchild of Indigo Girl Amy Ray. Now you get the connection.

As the band took to the stage I kicked back to enjoy what I knew would be a great set. And that it was! Cordero is a fusion of latin rock and pop mixed with some great dance beats. Ani and her band played a tight 45 minute set and you could clearly see they were having fun on stage jamming. At times Ani would encourage the crowd to dance along, and with tunes like "Soltera" you couldn't help but get into the groove.

I give this band a big thumbs up. Catchy tunes, great musicianship, cute singer. They were a great opening act for the Indigo Girls. Rock on!
